I’m currently supporting the Clint in the search of Finance Director with the responsibility of Business Partner and Controller for the Operational Director in Poland and EMEA Controller.

The Finance Director / Controller will be responsible for general accounting, weekly sales reporting, monthly closing, annual budget preparation and provide administrative oversight for the distribution and manufacturing operations in Poland. Hired person will help in executing financial strategies and establishing accounting controls to ensure the financial integrity of the Polish entity of the Company. This position needs a hands-on, willing to jump in and take-charge individual who seeks a visible position which will support key decision making within the region and offer sound fiscal support to the various personnel.

 The candidate must be experienced and have the required educational background necessary to be successful in an ever-changing, fast paced, results-oriented organization. S/he must have a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles including best practices and procedures related to internal and external audit functions, GAAP/FASB/IFRS accounting standards and ability to prepare group, as well as, local statutory reporting. Individual must possess a proficiency working within a ERP system and Business Intelligence (BI) systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

•     Aide in building and maintaining financial infrastructure, primary responsibility for the monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation for the Poland facility;
•     Must ensure the month close is completed timely and accurately, including review of all account reconciliations and key accruals;
•     Manage and performs tasks within the various disciplines of the accounting functions (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) to ensure these functions are operating and performing within Company guidelines;
•     Change agent willing to get behind the numbers, seek new ways of performing daily/weekly tasks that will drive change and move the organization to new levels of performance;
•     Provide solid financial reporting and forecast accuracy while strengthening processes and procedures throughout the accounting/finance department;
•     Aide in establishing annual budget and reforecasts (when necessary) and report on monthly performance versus those objectives;
•     Working in connection with European headquarters accounting personnel to ensure all intercompany related sales and transactions are timely and accurately billed; and
•     Perform other related accounting/financial duties as required or requested by Global – Chief Financial Officer, Business Unit Controller – EMEA and/or VP – Finance (EMEA CFO).

Required Skills & Experience:

•     Minimum of 10 - 15 years of increasing level of responsibilities in a multi-brand, multi-location manufacturing, service and/or distribution company;
•     Ability to amicably solve issues and provide quality judgment and decision-making;
•     Proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining an accounting/finance function;
•     Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and ability to learn internal systems programs.
•     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field required.
•     CPA or MBA preferred.
